The Arabic word 'Tajweed' linguistically means 'proficiency' or 'doing something well'. It comes from the same root letters as the word Jayyid, which means 'good'. When applied to the Quran, it means giving every letter of the Quran its rights and dues of characteristics when we recite the Quran, and observing the rules that apply to those letters in different situations. We give the letters their rights by observing the essential characteristics of each letter.

Good manners are very essential and compulsory to have (as a standard at our academy) for a person in order to live a disciplined, peaceful and happy life as well as get success in any field. Discipline on the flip side is a manner of life, where one should try to be on time and live in an organised and systematic way. Discipline can be clarified as training which can build up one’s moral character and helps to produce a specific type of behaviour For these reasons we will start practical role plays where our students will practise the manners in various scenarios. We recognise that this needs to start in the early days to ensure that these skills become second nature to our students.
